To Be Continued...

To love or be loved, that is the question
Everyone on a steady mission
Hoping not to find the answer, but rather
The convergence of the two
Where you love me and I love you
When your heart fills mine as I pour out mine to yours
Where there's no need for keeping scores
Where smiles are the only tally marks we need
Where together, we succeed
I've searched high and low, from left to right
And still there is no one I'd rather hold at night
For only you have seen the true depths my soul
And only you have watched me lose complete control
Falling into the abyss called love
And strangely, I didn't mind
Because it was only there that I could find
The reflection of the woman I always desired to be
So it leaves me wondering, are we meant to be?
Or will we just keep skating around a love-laced destiny?
Can I bring out the very best in you
To make sure we pass the test or two
That life will surely throw our way
Or is it that we truly have nothing more to say
And our future is no greater than our today...
